About the Scholarship
The Hessian Ministry of Science and the Arts (HMWK) awards the to particularly gifted and high-achieving refugee students. The scholarship is supposed to support the start or continuation of studies or an academic career at a public university in Hesse and includes 300 euros per month for students, for one year.

Note: Certificates must be submitted as a copy/scan of the certified translation or in German or English original language. Foreign-language certificates (except English) should not be submitted additionally. Missing documents must be indicated in the application documents.

About the Scholarship
The of the DAAD supports at-risk Master's students and doctoral candidates worldwide who are formally or de facto denied the right to education in their country of origin. The program enables them to begin or continue their studies in Germany.
Funding for Master's students typically includes:

Application Process
Applicants must first be nominated by a university. The internal application deadline at ¿´Æ¬Èí¼þ for funding starting in the winter semester 2027/28 is currently closed.
Important: An academic reference form is required for the nomination. This should be completed by a faculty member currently teaching at ¿´Æ¬Èí¼þ who is academically related to your desired Master's program. As this reference can take several weeks to obtain, please make sure to request it as early as possible. Kindly ask the faculty member to refer to us if they have any questions.

The Deutschlandstipendium is aimed at all students at ¿´Æ¬Èí¼þ and, in addition to financial support of 300 euros/ month, also offers a non-material support programme. Prerequisites for a scholarship are very good academic performances as well as social commitment. In addition, biographical difficulties (e.g. refugee experience) are given special consideration in the selection process.
