Scholarship program of the Studienstiftung “Metropolen in Mittel-, Südost- und Osteuropa" (Metropolises in Central, Southeast, and Eastern Europe): Funding for a stay abroad, usually lasting one year (minimum duration 7 months – maximum duration 4 semesters) with an intensive language course in the destination country (at least two weeks) starting in the 2026/27 academic year. The foreign allowance can only be granted for the first twelve months, unless there is a change of destination country after the first twelve months. The stay abroad must begin in summer/fall 2026. A study-related internship lasting several weeks can round off the experience abroad. The program is also open to applicants who have had little or no contact with countries in Central, Southern, and Eastern Europe. Funding for complete master's programs abroad is also possible. The program is aimed at both individuals who are already receiving funding from the Studienstiftung and students who are newly accepted into the program.
