The Cusanuswerk Episcopal Scholarship Program is the Catholic Church's scholarship program in Germany within the framework of state scholarship programs. Students who have completed at least one semester or who are beginning their studies in the summer semester can apply through the selection process for students.

The aim is to promote a new generation of leaders who actively contribute to shaping a sustainable future.
The scholarships from the Kölner Gymnasial- und Stiftungsfonds help students to cover any financial gaps between the cost of education and their own available funds and/or other funding. They enable students to complete their studies quickly and in a concentrated manner within the standard period of study.
In 2012, the German University Foundation launched the TANDEM scholarship program for first-time university students. The unique feature of the TANDEM scholarship program is that it provides scholarship recipients with one-on-one mentoring by a university professor who is familiar with their field of study and location. This enables regular exchanges throughout the course of their studies.

The Avicenna Student Services Organization supports Muslim high school graduates, students, and doctoral candidates. Individuals without a Muslim background may also be accepted if they are particularly committed to intercultural dialogue with Islam or have a specific connection to Islam in their field of study.
Scholarship program of the Studienstiftung “Metropolen in Mittel-, Südost- und Osteuropa" (Metropolises in Central, Southeast, and Eastern Europe): Funding for a stay abroad, usually lasting one year (minimum duration 7 months – maximum duration 4 semesters) with an intensive language course in the destination country (at least two weeks) starting in the 2026/27 academic year. The foreign allowance can only be granted for the first twelve months, unless there is a change of destination country after the first twelve months. The stay abroad must begin in summer/fall 2026. A study-related internship lasting several weeks can round off the experience abroad. The program is also open to applicants who have had little or no contact with countries in Central, Southern, and Eastern Europe. Funding for complete master's programs abroad is also possible. The program is aimed at both individuals who are already receiving funding from the Studienstiftung and students who are newly accepted into the program.
The Ernst Ludwig Ehrlich Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships to particularly gifted and committed Jewish students and doctoral candidates, as well as to doctoral candidates whose field of study is related to Judaism. In addition to financial support, the foundation also places great emphasis on providing moral support. The program of events offers scholarship recipients the opportunity to reflect on their Jewish identity and take on responsibility for society.

Funding for MA students from abroad. The basic funding for foreign students is aimed at students who are already studying in Germany. The basic funding for foreign students includes Bachelor's, Master's and Diploma degree programs as well as degree programs leading to the state examination. Prerequisites for an application are first graded certificates of achievement and very good German language skills.
The advancement scholarship supports committed specialists with vocational training and practical experience in their first academic degree course.
