CoSMed - subproject MaK-Adapt (Adaptive Measurement of General Competences)

The joint project CoSMed (Competence Measurement based on Simulations and Adaptive Testing in Medical Settings) had as its goal the modeling and measurement of the work-related competences of medical personnel, as well as the generation of complex explanation models. Within the subproject MaK-adapt, conducted at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena, three computerized adaptive tests were developed. With these tests, student competences in the domains of reading, mathematics, and science can be measured in a highly efficient way. The three computerized adaptive tests developed use the testing platform “Multidimensional Adaptive Testing Environment” (MATE). The MATE version used in the was produced as part of the project at the German Institute for International Educational Research (DIPF).
